That Mexican OT, born Virgil René Gazca on February 2, 1999, in Bay City, Texas, is a Mexican-American rapper known for blending Southern hip-hop with Chicano rap influences. Rising from a challenging upbringing marked by the loss of his mother and his father’s incarceration, he channeled his experiences into music with guidance from his uncle. He gained mainstream recognition with his 2023 hit single “Johnny Dang,” featuring Paul Wall and DRODi, which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and led to the release of his debut album Lonestar Luchador.

His music incorporates mariachi samples and vivid storytelling, showcasing his cultural heritage while collaborating with artists like Slim Thug and DaBaby. With subsequent projects like Texas Technician (2024), That Mexican OT continues to solidify his status as a prominent figure in modern hip-hop.
